Alyssa Redondo hopes that she was able to make the Philippines proud after representing the country in the Miss Intercontinental 2024 pageant in Egypt over the weekend.
The Filipina beauty queen finished second runner-up to Maria Cepero of Puerto Rico.
She also won the Power of Beauty award, which earned her a spot in the Top 7, as well as Best in Swimsuit.
“It has been an incredible experience!” Redondo said in an Instagram post, adding that she is also happy to be leaving with “priceless friendships from around the world.”
“Earning the title of Miss Intercontinental 2024 2nd runner-up is an incredible achievement, especially as my first international competition! I truly hope I’ve represented by country well,” she added.
Redondo also expressed gratitude to her pageant sisters, the staff of Miss Intercontinental, and all the people who have supported her in her journey as a beauty queen.
“I’ll cherish this experience forever!” she said.
The Philippines currently has two Miss Intercontinental titleholders, courtesy of Cindy Obenita (2021) and Karen Gallman (2018).
