A old video clip of Anthony Jennings vowing to never again be unfaithful to his girlfriend resurfaced recently on social media amid the publication of his intimate conversations with onscreen love team Maris Racal.

The video first aired on the September 2022 episode of “Boys After Dark” podcast,

of which Jennings was a part of,

along with other promising male celebrities being promoted by the ABS-CBN talent group, Rise Artists Studio.

In a resurfaced clip of the video podcast, Jennings could be seen holding a placard that said “#neveragain,” when asked about the things they won’t do again and the realizations they had as they got older.

“Hindi na ako magche-cheat, ‘yun. [Nagbago] na tayo eh. Nagbago na eh. Never ko nang uulitin ‘to. Character development. (I’m not going to cheat again. We’ve changed since then. I’ve changed. I’m not going to do that again),” he said, without disclosing when the supposed cheating happened.

A snippet of Jennings’ video was reuploaded by one @memeldific on TikTok on Sunday, December 8. It has since garnered over 250,000 views and 174 comments, as of this writing.

Many netizens seemed unhappy with the actor’s confession in the comments, noting his recent controversy with Racal and non-showbiz ex-girlfriend Jamela Villanueva.

In the screenshots that Villanueva shared on social media, she said that he had promised to be faithful to her, and that his interactions with Racal were merely a form of “method acting.”

Racal has recently owned up to her “mistake” and apologized to Villanueva and her fans, saying she was just made to believe that Jennings was single when he made a move at her at the start of their onscreen pairing.

For his part, Jennings apologized to Racal and Villanueva, with whom he was for nearly seven years before he confirmed their breakup last November.
